On the 21st of April one of Twente University‘s Ph.D. students, Gerwin Huizingour presented his work at the “Eighth International Workshop on Behavior Change Support Systems (BCSS 2020)”. He presented the paper titled “Multi-perspective persuasion by a council of virtual coaches”, which takes a look at the ability of a virtual council of coaches to be liked by people and persuade people, and the effect inter-coach discussion might have on this ability. If this sounds interesting, we hope you will take a look at the paper once it is published.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the workshop could not physically take place in Aalborg, Denmark, as originally intended. The entire workshop was held through the use of an online video call. However, it was still a great success! There was a lot of active participation, exchange of ideas, and many participants remarked on how well the workshop was run. It was good to see how inventive the workshop organizers were when it came to the transition of the workshop to an online environment.
